What information is collected?
thedweb.com collects certain information by the way of server-side logs. This includes the domain name and IP of our visitors. In addition, we collect the URL of the referring site, origin country, the site our users exit to, visit lengths, viewed pages, operating systems, and platforms. This is pretty standard collection on servers. We will not share or distribute your information to any third parties or use it to solicit services or products.
What about cookies?
thedweb.com does use cookies to set style sheets. This allows our users to change the way our pages are displayed and for their browser to remember these settings. Cookies will not access your personal data or your hard drive but will tell your browser what settings you prefer. Cookies can be disabled in common browsers by the user.
Who will see the information collected?
Only the owners and operators of thedweb.com will have access to collected data. This data will not be shared with any third parties for any reason.
What about emails?
All emails sent to us are kept confidential and the contents of recieved emails will not be made public without the consent of the sender. Items we may wish to make public and publish (with written consent) on our website or print media would include comments or feedback recieved by our clients or visitors. When such information is made public, full names will be removed, though a company name and title may be included.
